Israel-Hamas Negotiations on continuing Gaza hostages halted

After the release of six Israeli hostages from Gaza yesterday, Israel refused to fulfill the next step. releasing 601 Palestinians from Israeli prisons. Israeli Prime minister Netanyahu said the release of the Palestinian prisoners is halted until Jerusalem receives assurances regarding the end of “humiliating ceremonies” staged by Hamas when hostages are handed over.

In the meantime, Israeli tanks were spotted today near Jenin, for the first time since Operation Protective Shield in 2002.
