While the US administration is sending mixed signals about continuing negotiations or resuming the attacks against Iran, the government of Israel has repeatedly stated that it wants to resume its attacks on Iran. Many Israelis don't understand what is the purpose of getting into an active war again, but it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is adamant at his will to continue fighting until as near as possible to the general elections, which will take place before the end of October 2026.
